Specific industrial and oil industry applications require an understanding of how interfaces behave at extreme temperatures and pressures. We developed the TRACKER™ HTHP (High-Temperature High-Pressure for such usage.
With the Tracker™ HTHP, you can perform contact angle, surface/interfacial tension analysis, and interfacial rheology in extreme environments with temperatures of up to 200 °C (392 degrees Fahrenheit) and pressures of 700 bars (10,152 psi). The specially designed CETIM-certified measurement cell uses sapphire glass to ensure simple, trouble-free, and safe measurements.
High Temperature and Pressure Applications
With the TRACKER™ HTPT, you can measure surface, interface, interfacial tensions, interfacial rheology, and static and dynamic contact angles under extreme environmental conditions.
The TRACKER™ HTHP also uses the pendant or rising drop method, allowing you to measure the interfacial tension between liquid/liquid and liquid/gas systems, perform interfacial rheology, and obtain the viscoelastic modulus.
The syringe, the special needle, and the cuvette are enclosed in the pressure chamber. The software controls all liquid drop and gas bubble dosing with absolute precision, allowing for accurate surface and interfacial tension and oscillatory interfacial rheology analysis.
You can perform multiple contact angle measurements and capture the advancing and receding contact angles. Its rotating platform design ensures ease of use and allows you to place several drops on or under a solid surface without opening the pressure cell.
The pressure chamber itself is modular and easy to use and clean.
The instrument is fully compatible with all nonexplosive gases and supercritical CO₂.
The Tracker™ Extreme is a turn-key package. It is a stand-alone instrument with all necessary components (measuring device, optical system, temperature, pressure system, control panels) in a compact, mobile chassis. It does not require the addition of any other equipment.
